The album "The Dutchess", Fergie's solo debut album which was released on September 19, 2006, has sold a total of 696,811 copies in the US this 2008. It is currently the #25 most sold this year and it is the 'oldest' in the Top 30. The album though is the 3rd most sold from what was released in 2006, only about 4 albums from 2006 are currently top 50 most sold of the year thus far.

With the re-release of the album, we are sure Fergie will surpass the million mark this year.

The California Mid-State Fair has filled the last big hole in its entertainment lineup with pop/hip-hop artist Fergie, whose songs “Fergalicious,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and “Glamorous” are a near-constant presence on radio airwaves.

Fergie, a member of The Black Eyed Peas before her successful solo debut in 2006, will perform Thursday, July 31. Tickets go on sale May 30 at 10 a.m. and will be priced at $56, $46 and $40.

The artist, whose real name is Stacy Ferguson, will be making her first appearance at the fair. She won a Grammy with the Black Eyed Peas for “Let’s Get it Started.”

Other artists in this year’s concert lineup include Rod Stewart, Stone Temple Pilots, Matchbox 20, John Mayer and Steely Dan.

Pop star FERGIE feared she would fall from the stage and career into the crowd during a bizarre acrobatic live performance on a U.S. TV show on Tuesday (20May08).
The Black Eyed Peas star shocked viewers by crawling across the stage and writhing in skin-tight leggings while singing Heart's Barracuda, before performing a series of catapults that almost propelled her into the Today Show audience at New York's Rockefeller Plaza.
And the 33-year-old confessed afterwards she had lost control and came close to tumbling from the stage.
She said afterwards, "I should've pointed my toes. My gymnastics coach would've been upset. I just didn't want to fall off I didn't know how much room I had. Thank you for letting me crawl on your floor."

For the first time, The Dutchess herself, Fergie will perform at the San Diego County Fair. The concert is titled "An Evening With Fergie" starting at 7:30 pm on June 27th on the Grandstand Stage.

The show is part of the Fair's 2008 Summer Concert Series presented by Beck's, which also will feature performances by B.B. King; The Guess Who; Earth, Wind & Fire; Boston; Sugarland; and other top artists.

Tickets are as follows:

$131 for Floor and Terrace seats

$51 for reserved second- and fourth-level seats

$35 for unreserved general admission seats

Hip-hop singer Fergie will be paid $270,000 for her appearance at the San Diego County Fair next month, the largest sum the fair has paid a performer for a grandstand show.

Shoes expected to be available to consumers for spring 2009 season

Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and actress Fergie can add one more credit to her lengthy list -- shoe maven. Brown Shoe has signed with the multi-platinum artist to create her namesake shoe brand, appealing to fashionistas and Fergie fans alike.

"I have always loved fashion because it's a great way to express your mood. And I'm definitely a shoe lover," said Fergie. "The right pair of shoes can change the feel of an outfit, and even change how a woman feels about herself. A woman can wear confidence on her feet with a high stiletto, or slip into weekend comfort with a soft ballet flat."

Brown Shoe product developers are collaborating with Fergie to capture her style sensibilities in a debut collection for spring 2009. Retailers can take a sneak peek at early designs at the June 2008 Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY) shoe show. Plans for the launch of Fergie footwear include a dedicated web site and personal appearances.

"We envision the Fergie consumer as a woman who is chic and fashionable, loves to wear the latest trends, and looks for distinctive details when shopping for shoes to add to her already considerable collection -- much like Fergie herself," said Brown Shoe Wholesale President Gary Rich. Fergie Bargined For "Sex and the City" Sneak Peek

Pop star FERGIE refused to record the theme to the new SEX + THE CITY film until she'd seen a sneak peek of the movie. The Black Eyed Peas singer was the first choice to record the big song, but she insisted she was too busy - until writer/director Michael Patrick King agreed to let Fergie see the film before anyone else.

He reveals, "When we first approached Fergie, her music company said she's really, really busy and then she said very bargainy, 'Let me see the movie!' "So we had a private bootleg screening for Fergie... and then recorded it almost immediately."
